Day Three

I was hungry all day today.  I think i need to eat more fat during the day.  Tomorrow I will pack an avocado. 
Today i had grad school so no CF.

Day Two

Today was day two.  I again was Me Paleo all day.  I also did crossfit today.
We worked on wall balls  (I used a 14 pound ball)
and push jerks   (I went up to 70 pounds)


Then our WOD (Workout of the Day:
3 rounds for max reps
45 seconds on 15 seconds off
Clusters (I did 55 pounds)
Burpees
Double Unders (I did singles)

My total reps were 242.

Then I took the OLY class (Olympic Lifting)
I worked on my kip swings (which will hopefully lead to a kipping pull-up one day)
Then I worked on my deadlift.  Right now my max rep for deadlift is 185 so i did 5 reps of  55%, 65% and 75% of that.

I ate dinner after school around 4:30.  Then after crossfit I was hungry so i ate a bag of veggies that i prepared this weekend and a glass of almond milk.

I also woke up earlier this morning and had time to get breakfast!  

I need to work on drinking more water tomorrow.

Day One

Today was a good day.  First day back to school. Nice to see the students.  First day of grad school...it is going to be a rough semester! I am completing my final clinical hours in the university clinic in place of my student teacher (because i am already a certified teacher.) GETTT THISSSSS we walk into class and my professor tells us that he is completing a research study with technology so we all get ipads to use and take home with us for the semester.   SWEEEET!!!!!

This morning i took my measurements and before photos.  I also weighed in at 172.0.  I have a total of 23 pounds to lose.  Let's do it!  I ate 100% MY Paleo, meaning I ate all paleo foods except that i ate Greek yogurt and i am chewing sugar free gum.  

My goal for tomorrow is to wake up 10 minutes earlier. I was very rushed this morning and did not get to eat my breakfast.  I had to take it to go and didn't end up eating it until 10:30.   No a good start.

1/9/12 Menu

To get ready for my "last" diet attempt, I did a lot of cooking.  I am a special education teacher and also go to grad school during the week so I need foods that i can grab and bring with me.  I made this tuna salad with out the mustard and a chicken stir fry with a veggie tomato sauce.  Although dairy is not typically a paleo food i have decided to eat Greek non-fat yogurt once a day.  Osteoporosis runs in my family and i think it is important for me to eat some dairy.  I prepared baggies of fruit to mix in with my yogurt in the morning.

Lasts!!!

I have been on the weight loss battle for the past 8 years.  I gain and lose and gain and lose weight more times than I can count.  Tomorrow, January 9th 2012 begins a lot of "lasts" for me.  I am entering my "last" semester of grad school and beginning my (hopefully) "last" semester of teaching as a non-tenured teacher. (I hope to be tenured in the beginning of next school year.)  I have also decided that this is the last time I will begin a diet and stop it before i reach my goal weight.

I decided to name my blog, "My Wish" after the wonderful Rascall Flatts song.  It is my wish to reach my goal weight.  I am 5'3'' and currently weight 170 pounds.  My goal is to get to 149 pounds.  This 149 pounds is still high for my height however it is a goal that I feel to be ideal for me.  I don't need to be the thinnest women in the world, I just want to be healthy. 

I plan to reach my goal by eating a majority of Paleo foods and doing crossfit as many days as possible. 

I will use this blog to record my journey to "My Wish."  Come along me with and share your journey as well!
